The eThekwini Municipality has condemned the recent upsurge in politically motivated killings at the KwaMashu Hostel.
Mayor Nxumalo told members of EXCO that the recent killings were concerning, more especially because there will be by-elections in that area.
“Any loss of life is one too many,” he said.
Nxumalo said he would be speaking with the IFP and NFP leaders in Council to ensure that the coming elections are not marred by violence.
