On 3 November 2014 at about 1:45 the victim, Musa Sipho Phewa (46) was at home in the Ezinqoleni area when he was approached by the suspects. He was kidnapped and taken in his Avanza vehicle and drove away by the suspects. Later his vehicle was found at Murchison area, Port Shepstone with two suspects. On the same day, a passer-by saw a dead body at Fern Drift along old main road near Paddock and alerted the local police.  He was identified as Musa Sipho Phewa who was kidnapped at Ezinqoleni area.
