Artists Development Seminar

25 February 2014 by Alan

The Artist Development Workshop, will be hosted by the eThekwini Municipality on 26 February 2014 at the Ohlange High School in Inanda from 09h00 to 16h00. Presented in partnership with Metro FM, in the spirit of celebrating 20 years of democracy through music this is an initiative to leverage on the presence of the 13th Metro FM Awards, with the main objective of developing upcoming artists and promoting the Inanda Heritage route as well.

The Mayor, Cllr James Nxumalo said, “KwaZulu Natal is one of the Provinces with a fast growing music industry. It is our goal to see this industry becoming sustainable as it is one of the key ingredients towards growing the tourism sector.”

“It is for this reason that eThekwini Municipality partnered with Metro FM and other stakeholders to host this workshop at Inanda, where invited artists will share the industry best practices with young and upcoming artists and provide the much needed industry insight,” he says.

Legendary artists from the music industry like DJ Oskido (Kalawa Jazmee), DJ Zeal and DJ Siyanda will be featuring in this workshop to provide training to young and upcoming artists and also to entertain the crowd.
