World-Class road running takes centre stage at Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K this July

After drawing a sold-out field of 4,000 runners in Gqeberha and 15,000 in Cape Town, South Africa’s premier road running series – the Absa RUN YOUR CITY SERIES – now shifts to its third stop in a five-event calendar: the 8th annual Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, taking place on Sunday, 13 July 2025.

A vibrant celebration of the city’s spirit, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K unites elite athletes and social runners alike on a fast, flat, and scenic course. With lively entertainment, spirited local support, and a deep focus on community involvement, the race offers something for everyone – whether you’re chasing a personal best (PB) time or simply soaking up the vibe.

“The Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K continues to attract some of the best elite runners from South Africa and abroad, and each year we witness records fall and PBs tumble on this incredible course,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY SERIES. “At the same time, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K remains a standout experience for social runners – offering the perfect blend of competitive racing and community celebration, all in the heart of one of South Africa’s most iconic cities. Bringing even more energy to the on-route experience, PUMA South Africa has introduced the exciting new PUMA GO WILD activation to the Absa RUN YOUR CITY SERIES in 2025. Following its vibrant debut in Gqeberha and Cape Town, it’s now Durban’s turn to feel the vibe this July!
