Life is a Garden Update: I recently visited another amazing nursery in Durban – this time a bit further up the hill up in Botha’s Hill. The Plant & Flowers Garden Centre is huge with loads of different plants, pots and garden ornaments, as well as a tea garden where we had morning tea before choosing some herbs and veggies for our garden. In addition to selling plants, they also offer a full landscaping service including planting, paving, water features, ponds and tree felling and also host talks on a regular basis by leading garden experts such as Tanya Visser, Keith Kirsten and Gerald Scholfield – follow them on facebook for updates. We picked up some spinach, mint, rosemary, marigolds, nasturtiums, ground cover, lavender and a banana palm, which have all been planted and are now thriving in the garden – it’s been so cool to be able to make salad each evening with all home grown ingredients!
