Wireless Female Network – One of the Top 10 organizations in South Africa fighting stigmas against period and menopausal health

The Wireless Female Network #WFN was conceptualized in 2018 and became a legal entity in 2021. The organization focuses on the socio-economic advancement of women, girls and youth and gender equality. The following channels are a call to action: Period and Menopausal health, Training and Education, Research, Wellness, Coaching and Mentorship.

The Wireless Female Network is well known in South Africa for collaborating with schools and communities where the ”Stewards of Change Global Menstrual Health” program has been rolled out. Valerie W. Naidoo has designed learning modules in the creative space to make ”Period health” a fun and engaging subject. The learning modules are made up of period art, fashion & design, drame, story telling, rap & songs, poetry, and interviews. In July 2023 a 12 month fully funded program in MHM was launched and piloted to more than 100 women on the Africa continent to further dismantle the barriers attached to period and menopausal health.

The Wireless Female Network has also run campaigns on sustainable period products, water & sanitation, work-readiness programs to help first time job seekers get employed as well as several women empowerment programs.

The following are the key stakeholders of the Wireless Female Network:Valerie W. Naidoo is the Chief of Wellness and Director of , Dimpho Tshepo is the director of Marketing, Dr. Anosha Sirpath is the Director of Research, Councilor Sandra Naicker is the Director of Governance & Legislative.
