After weeks of ducking and dodging the deadly fangs of the planet’s 7 Deadliest Snakes to Handle, YouTube sensation and environmentalist, Dingo Dinkelman has wrapped up his series with Africa’s black mamba taking the number one spot. The highly-anticipated season finale saw Dingo and his team handling a resident black mamba at Crocworld Conservation Centre on the KZN South Coast. Commenting on the experience, Dingo – who’s been bitten by a black mamba before and is highly allergic to the venom – said it was a ‘nerve-wracking experience’: “This mamba is possibly one of the most difficult mambas in captivity to handle because he’s such a confident, smart snake. He came at me about six times trying to show his dominance and gave the audience a great insight of what this snake is capable of!” The countdown started with the bushmaster, followed by the coastal taipan, king cobra, fer-de-lance, with the final three all from the African continent – the West African green mamba, West African forest cobra, and black mamba. And, when not filming his captivating shows, Dingo is giving South African kids a chance to reconnect with nature and wildlife in a safe environment. Dingo’s Wild Creatures live animal exhibition and interaction will run at Amanzimtoti’s Galleria Mall from 26 November 2021 to 9 January 2022, and at Shelly Centre from 11 December 2021 to 9 January 2022.
