Westville man in court for murder

13 April 2015 by Alan

Durban – A man is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrates Court on Monday in connection with the murder of a 73-year-old relative at the weekend.

It is reported that the two men had had a heated argument before the elderly man was killed, said a police source with knowledge of the case, who spoke to News24 on condition of anonymity.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene, a home in Clackmannan Road, Westville, shortly after 21:00 on Saturday night. The victim had been stabbed several times with a knife found in the house.

A 34-year-old suspect was at the home when police arrived. The body of the deceased was found in a pool of blood in the kitchen, he said.
