Work is progressing on the repairs to the prestressed concrete pipeline on Northbourne Road at Westville.
Contractors continue to work round the clock to restore the Southern Aqueduct system to normal operation.
Teams are currently preparing the final levels ahead of pipe installation, which is expected to begin tomorrow, 27 May.
Some delays have been experienced due to the presence of several fibre and electrical cables within the construction area, which have impacted progress.
Despite these challenges, the Municipality anticipates that pipe laying will be completed by tomorrow afternoon.
Once installation is complete, the pipeline will be commissioned and brought back into service.
Water rationing and intermittent supply may continue in affected areas until the work is finalised and the system stabilises.
The Municipality sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused.
