Water Interruption in Pinetown/Cowies Hill

Due to infrastructure upgrade in the areas of Pinetown and Cowies Hill, several water interruptions will occur in those areas from 8:00 pm tonight, 15 May 2014.

A new pipeline has been laid along Josiah Gumede Road, it needs to be connected to the existing infrastructure to commission the new pipeline, resulting to the shutting down of the existing pipeline.

The following roads will be affected:

  • East Street
  • Ormiston Road
  • Balfour Road
  • Paradise Place
  • Bedford Road
  • Redman Road
  • Dudley Road
  • Catherine Road
  • Selborne Road
  • McDonald Road
  • Spring side Road
  • Cheshire Road
  • Turn Bridge Road
  • Stafford Road
  • Avon Road
  • Hobson Road,
  • View Road,
  • Kew Road,
  • Queen Elizabeth Road
  • Lands down Road
  • Kitchener Road
  • Brockwell
  • Josiah Gumede from Staple stone Road*
  • Prospect Road, *Beldvale Road*
  • Wood side avenue*
  • Buckingham Road*
  • Ernest wood cut Road*
  • Dawn cliff Road*

Kindly note: The roads that are indicated with a star (*) are the Main roads and all side roads will be affected.

The tie-in operation will take 12 hours starting at 8pm tonight until 7am tomorrow. Notices have been installed in the mentioned areas.

Any areas that experience water interruptions beyond this period will be assisted by our water tankers to the best of our ability.
