uShaka Marine World is proud to announce that it has added yet another award to its growing list of recognitions – the KZN Lilizela Visitor Experience of the year: Marine Adventure.
Launched in May 2013, the KZN Lilizela Tourism Awards recognise and reward the highest levels of excellence in South Africa’s tourism value chain. The name is derived from the Zulu word “Lilizela” which means celebrating and praising by ululating when someone has done well. These awards are an initiative of the National Department of Tourism and delivered by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.
The Awards – which are based on public comments and votes for the best tourism experiences and products – are intended to both recognize and reward tourism players and businesses who work passionately and with pride to deliver a world class product and service that ultimately grows South Africa’s global destination competitiveness.
“While our management team is extremely proud of this achievement, the real appreciation goes to all of those who make uShaka a signature destination in Durban and keep people coming back for more. Our motto is ‘guests first’ and our staff has truly embraced this. They have ensured that we not only provide a fun but also a quality experience,” chief executive officer of uShaka Marine World, Stella Khumalo, said.
