Ulundi Grandad wins a 1.4 Polo Vivo for his granddaughter

4 July 2019 by Alan

Ulundi Grandad wins a 1.4 Polo Vivo for his granddaughter:

Congratulations to Johnson B Sibiya, the first of four lucky winners in Engen’s “Ditch the cold and catch the cool competition”. Johnson gifted his new car to his granddaughter, Sinezelwe Sine Sibiya.

The brand-new Polo Vivo was handed over at Engen Ulundi Convenience Centre in Kwa-Zulu Natal on June 20th to an ecstatic Sinezelwe.

Sinezelwe, a social worker says she was having the worst run of luck, when she had to give up her car in February this year, as her employment contract was not renewed.

“There were tears and prayer amongst my family until God answered us and my grandfather won a car as part of Engen’s “Ditch the cold and catch the cool competition”.

I remember his first words to me after the phone call, he said “God has heard us – here comes your car. I was so shocked I burst out crying.”

“My grandfather basically raised me, as my mother who passed away a few years ago, had me when she was very young. I have always had a very strong bond with my grandfather. He is truly an inspiration to me.”

The competition runs until June 30th and three additional lucky Engen customers stand the chance of winning a spanking new 1.4 Polo Vivo.

Entry is easy, customers who purchase any qualifying deal, at participating Engen Quickshops, consisting of a combination of basket products, can enter the competition.

“Engen garage has always been the only garage my family and friends visit because of the lovely, respectful, polite, passionate staff. From the petrol attendants to the staff inside the store. They really make us feel that we are always Number One,” added Sinezelwe.

Brad Bergh, Engen’s Retail Brands, Communication and Advertising Manager says, “As a brand, it is important for Engen to continue offering exciting and innovative promotions like our Ditch the Cold and Catch the Cool promotion, where we can engage and interact with our customers.

Having recently been awarded the Coolest Petrol Brand in the country for the 10th year in succession, bears testimony to our customers vote of confidence and support of our offerings”.
