Tourism KZN moves its corporate and information offices to new premises:
|
Tourism KwaZulu-Natal (TKZN) will be relocating its corporate offices, from 160 Monty Naicker Road (Pine Street) in the Durban city centre, to a new building at the Point Waterfront as of 16 November 2015. The new home of TKZN will be in the Ithala Trade Centre at 29 Canal Quay Road, at the end of Durban’s Point. The information office that is currently located on the ground floor of the Tourist Junction building will also relocate to what will be the flagship tourism information office at the uShaka Marine World theme park on the Point.
This will be a phased move, with the TKZN staff members moving in sections until the end of the month. This is to ensure that the relocation has the least possible disruptive effects on our stakeholders and service providers. Both the information office and the corporate offices are planned to be fully operational from 7th December 2015.
Giving insight on the move, Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ndabo Khoza, said, “Even though the current building has been home to Tourism KwaZulu-Natal for almost 20 years, the new offices will provide greater efficiency in how we serve our stakeholders. The uShaka Marine World Theme Park has become a huge tourist attraction for the city. Having our flagship information office there will ensure that our visitors have easy access to information about the province and all the attractions they would like to visit when they come here.”
The corporate offices will take up two floors in the new building. The new offices will be semi–open plan with new amenities for employees as well as our stakeholders, including visitor’s parking.
.If plans remain on schedule, TKZN will move at the end of November, at which time TKZN’s new corporate offices will be at:
29 Canal Quay Rd
Point
Durban
The new fully fledged Information Services Offices will be at
Shop 1 A, uShaka Marine World
1 Bell Street
Durban
All of TKZN’s phone numbers, email addresses and the post box number will remain the same.
