Mrs. Ncamisile Nkwanyana MPL, IFP Spokesperson on Health has welcomed the suspension of two senior officials in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature.
“We also applaud the Health MEC, Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, for ensuring that all the rotten apples are rooted out in the department. We highly welcome the suspension of Mashaka Ravhura, who is the Chief Officer, and Andile Zondo the head of Supplying Chain Management. There should be no place for culprits in this department,” Nkwanyana said.
“The IFP also calls on the Health MEC to thoroughly investigate this matter and we hope that all irresponsible employees will be brought to book and anyone involved must be held accountable. We also urge the Health Minister to look into other components of the department as this investigation and suspension could reveal the tip of an iceberg as far as corruption and maladministration is concerned,” Nkwanyana concluded.
