The Pecanwood Oktoberfest powered by Blythedale Coastal Estate – South Africa’s most versatile Sport and Lifestyle festival – returns for an even bigger event with an unbelievable prize up for grabs. Every ticket purchased is an entry into the draw to win a R650 000 property at Blythedale Coastal Estate located on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal. Come Saturday, 28th October from 10am, escape to the KZN Midlands’ Pecanwood Farm where Pecanwood Oktoberfest will be your perfect ‘get out of the city’ event, offering over 24 hours of entertainment. Situated only one hour from Durban and 15 minutes from Pietermaritzburg, this year, embrace the theme #ChooseYourAdventure.

With so much on offer you can now choose your own personal adventure at the festival, so whether you are a sporting enthusiast, beer connoisseur, thrill seeker, foodie, or just want to enjoy some of South Africa’s top music acts live on stage – this is the place to be. Catch headline act, Desmond & The Tutus, supported by Josh Wantie, Subway run, The Gus Brown Band, Gavin Ferguson, Mathew Gardiner, and many more taking to the stage to entertain you the whole day through.

This year will see all the fun and entertainment you’ve come to expect and more with a specially designed world class track for avid trail runners and MTB enthusiasts. There will be a 7 and 14 km trail run course as well as a 40 km MTB race boasting over 70 % single track for the more serious cyclist, as well as the 20 km MTB race which is suitable for the more relaxed rider. The two races include a wide variety of single tracks, valleys, forests and escarpments set in the breath taking surroundings of the KZN Midlands. Sporting events open at 6am for registration.

In addition to the sporting experience, there is also a wide array of different outdoor activities to entertain you throughout the day including new and exciting attractions such as Enduro X, where some of SA’s top riders will be show casing their skills on the tailor made Pecanwood Oktoberfest Enduro X track, a 4×4 show, where drivers will be putting on a unique showcase of suped up vehicles with top of the range luxury Land Rovers courtesy of the combined efforts of the Land Rovers owners club SA and the PMB Land Rover team who have joined forces this year.

The 2017 edition of the Pecanwood Oktoberfest will also have a vast selection of beers from around the country, along with a wine and coffee tasting tent featuring coffees from around the world.

For those not wanting to let the day end, there are also secure camping options available. Festival goers have the option of bringing their own tent and camping for free, or booking a spot in the tented camps on offer from Rush Adventures at a nominal fee. There are standard tent options or a VIP option where you get your own toilet and shower. Limited spaces are available.

Whether you are a regular or a newbie, the festival is attended by people from almost every province in the country and is sure to be a memorable festival once again. Having boasted over 7 000 people last year, Pecanwood Oktoberfest was voted SA’s Number One Sport & Lifestyle festival and KZN’s biggest beer fest.

Tickets cost only R200 per person which includes all sporting events, the festival and your entry into the draw to win the amazing prize of a R650 000 property at Blythedale Coastal Estate. Tickets are available through Webtickets or via ROAG for those entering the sporting events and must be purchased before 25 October 2017 to qualify for the competition.
