STALWART STEFAN RETURNS – Featured Durban Blog

1 April 2018 by My Durban

STALWART STEFAN RETURNS:

It is with delight that The Sharks announce the short-term signing of retired Sharks/Springbok wing Stefan Terblanche, a former captain and a stalwart in the black and white, who is making a welcome return to the playing field.

Fresh from competing at what many consider to be the ultimate team challenge race, GODzone in New Zealand, which is a seven-day non-stop expedition style adventure race, he realised that his passion for playing the sport he loves still burns bright. His fitness is unquestionable and he is ready to accept the challenge and return for one final bite at a chance to lift a Super Rugby trophy.

Sharks COO, Eduard Coetzee welcomed Terblanche’s return saying that the Cell C Sharks can only benefit from his experience. “He was a great servant of Sharks rugby and under his leadership we won the 2010 Currie Cup. His champion spirit and knowledge of the game, can only aid our efforts going forward.”

Stefan will fly out to New Zealand this afternoon to join the team ahead of their match against the Hurricanes on Friday night
