It’s that time of year when the creatures of the night come out to play and colourful costumes are rewarded with chocolates and sweets! To celebrate this frighteningly fun time, visitors are welcome to participate in Crocworld Halloween on Saturday, 30 October from 3pm to 9pm.
“We’re so excited to be bringing the popular Crocworld Halloween event back after last year’s break, and this year we promise to make it really worth the wait!” said Crocworld Conservation Centre Manager, James Wittstock. “We will have a range of activities and entertainment suited to all ages, with extra lighting so our visitors can enjoy the event into the night.”
Upon entering Crocworld Conservation Centre, visitors will be given a clue to decipher before finding the first of five Sweet Stations hidden throughout the centre. This includes a heart-thumping journey through The Haunted Forest complete with shrieking hags and spooky spectres! While the little witches and wizards are busy trick or treating, the older ghouls can relax in the Beer Garden with Live Music on the wraparound deck.
And there’s not just sugary treats on the menu, Crocworld’s own Fish Eagle Café will set up a range of enticing food stalls throughout the restaurant, boasting a frightfully delicious menu consisting of:
· Beef or chicken burgers
· Chip and dip
· Mince jaffels
· Boerie or Russian rolls
· Hot dogs
· Mutton breyani
· Mince curry and rice
· Soft serve cones with a Flake
· Adult cocktail slushies
All Crocworld Halloween attendees are encouraged to wear their scariest, most spectacular outfits because Crocworld will be hosting an online Best Dressed Competition. Share these images on the ‘Crocworld Conservation Centre’ Facebook page and stand a chance to win four free entrance tickets to the park, as well as four gourmet burgers and milkshakes from Fish Eagle Café.
In line with Covid-19 protocols, only 500 people will be permitted to enter Crocworld Conservation Centre at any one time, with new guests welcome once others leave. The event will be run on a first-come-first-served basis with tickets available at the Curio Shop at a cost of R80 per child and R100 per adult. No re-entering will be permitted, and all food and alcohol must be purchased on site.
