Have you ever been to the longest-running music festival in the country? Splashy Fen kicks off this year on 2 April and runs until 6 April on the Splashy Fen farm near Underberg in KwaZulu-Natal. Join Sedgwick’s Original Old Brown, one of South Africa’s most iconic fortified wines, for a weekend of fun and live outdoor music.

Sedgwick’s will set the mood with an Old Brown fire pit, with blankets, pillows and bean bags arranged around it to let you share the warmth, while musicians entertain you on the Sedgwick’s acoustic stage. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether with singing, dancing, stand-up comedy or a good act. There are prizes for the best performances.

Enjoy Sedgwick’s games like giant Jenga and 30 Seconds, while relaxing and sipping on refreshments available throughout the weekend.

Splashy Fen, which were established in 1900, offers a range of other activities and facilities. Apart from live music, there are art and craft stalls. You can also go for a hike on the farm, or enjoy a swim in the Umzimkulu River on the edge of the property. For tickets and more information go to www.splashyfen.co.za.

If the music line-up, the great outdoors or having a good time with friends and family are on your list of things to do, don’t miss this legendary music festival with a legendary friend, Sedgwick’s Original Old Brown.
