South Regional Durban Business Fair Exhibitor Registration Opens

20 May 2022 by Alan

To revitalise township economies, eThekwini Municipality will host the South Regional Durban Business Fair from 24 to 26 June at the KwaMnyandu Shopping Centre.

The fair aims to showcase area-based business products, empower entrepreneurs with skills, and provide networking opportunities.

To exhibit at the fair, register before 10 June as space is limited.

Access the registration form using the following link: https://bit.ly/SOUTHFAIR

Alternatively, email admin@lomes.co.za to request a registration form.

The theme of the South Regional Durban Business Fair is ‘Connecting Durban businesses to opportunities’ and will feature several empowerment elements. This includes a two-day Business Indaba, masterclasses on digital and film, SMME Helpdesk to assist suppliers with queries, and business transfer skills activities.

The regional fair serves as a precursor to the Durban Business Fair scheduled to take place from 20 to 25 September at the Durban Exhibition Centre and the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre.

EThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda said small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) are pillars of the City’s economy who drive job creation.

“To ensure the sustainable development of businesses, the Municipality through its various units, including the Business Support, Tourism, Markets and Agri-Business Unit, champions SMME development to ensure they are an active part of the City’s economy.”

Mayor Kaunda said the Regional Fair is focused on exposing unique, quality products and services located in the townships and rural outskirts of Durban, to a larger audience.
