Hailing from Cato Ridge, KZN in South Africa, Red Money has over 10 years of experience in the music industry. 2021 saw a major boost for his career when TikTok influencers created a dance challenge to his song, resulting in 1000 plus plays on both Apple Music and Spotify. The song also got blog recognition in African music blogs and reached 50K plays on one of his albums on Spotify.
2022 was an emotionally difficult year for Dj Red Money; he lost two close family members within five months – first his cousin in April, then his uncle in July. These losses took a toll on the artist spiritually and mentally, leading him to take time away from creating music throughout all of 2022.
Red Money recently announced his return to creating music and releasing it to fans via social media with one fan commenting “Looking forward to all your songs… especially your signature.” We are excited to hear what this rising star produces next!
