Seeking Two From Two – Featured Durban Blog

11 June 2021 by Alan

Seeking Two From Two:

The Cell C Sharks Women host their Boland counterparts on KP2 this Saturday in a second round Women’s Interprovincial Premier Division, hoping to deliver a 100% record against the Cape side.

Reflecting on last week’s match where Conditioning coach Lusanda Mtiya admitted that there was constant improvement, she said, “The team did well against the Bulls, it was one of those strength-vs-strength games and at half-time the teams were level at 13-all, but the Bulls capitalised on our mistakes.

“We’re hoping that we can play with some good form and beat Boland this week, after beating them in the first round in Wellington.”

The team has been competitive throughout but not always on the winning side and they have been working diligently to change that.

“We have gone back to the drawing board, we’ve worked with The Sharks juniors as far as scrumming is concerned, we have also called on specialists within the set-up to assist with attack and defence so we are hoping for a good, winning performance on Saturday.

“We also have a new face this weekend, Bianca Louw who is a touch rugby player from Richards Bay and we’re excited to see her in action.”

Kick-off time is 2pm.
