A security officer was left fighting for his life after being gunned down in a shooting in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). The shooting occurred just before 7pm on Thursday evening, 30 July 2026.

Durban (with adjacent Pinetown) has a larger Indian population than white; the area contains one of the largest concentrations of Indians in South Africa.
