Science Wrap: 19 September

25 April 2016 by Alan

A Durban selected video:

We take a look at the University of the Free State where researchers have successfully decellularized a primate heart. Still with research……As the world celebrated the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer on Tuesday, under the theme “Ozone layer Protection”, about 300 scientists conducted a study to review the status of the Ozone layer. Moving onto environmental news, the KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board will begin testing an electronic shark repellent cable next month in an attempt to prevent shark attacks. And finally NASA will partner with Boeing and SpaceX to build commercially owned and operated “space taxis” to fly astronauts to the International Space Station.
