This weekend, at the Pavilion Shopping Centre’s Social Gallery situated on the rooftop near Westpack is where all things local meet – from fashion, food, great coffee and friendly service. This is certainly a proudly collaborative local space and this weekend (Jan 22 & 23), brings a live music session to the mix.
On Saturday between 11am and 3pm, you can catch Talent “Mzukulu” Mbatha who is a versatile bassist, arranger, composer, producer, studio engineer and music educator who derives his music style from a diverse range of influences, including Maskandi, Mbhaqanga, jazz, pop, contemporary rock, soul and fusion.
Next up on Sunday, between 1pm and 5pm, Thabo Sikhakhane a young South African born Trumpeter and Composer, and brother to New York’s New School University alumni saxophonist, Linda Sikhakane. Both hail from Umlazi.
These two acts are a definite must see, so get your groove on while shopping and enjoying some of the tasty treats that Kruz Koffees who will be debuting their culinary offerings this weekend!
