A fibre break has been identified as the root cause of the technical challenge currently disrupting the external prepaid electricity vending system.
Although locating the precise fault required extensive time, repair teams are now on-site, with full-service restoration anticipated later tonight.
To assist residents needing prepaid electricity tokens, Sizakala Centres will remain open until 16:00 today, while Electricity Customer Service Centre’s will operate until 19:00. Customers are encouraged to visit these facilities to purchase tokens. Please note that these center’s accept cash payments only.
The City urges residents to remain calm and assures the public that restoring the vending system is our top priority.
