Questions over fire department’s slow response to fire on their doorstep: A fire department in KwaNongoma Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal, has taken 30 minutes to arrive at a burning house within footsteps from the municipality’s main fire station, a neighbour says.

Ingwe officials charged with corruption: The Ingwe local municipality’s former mayor, former municipal manager and two ward councillors have been arrested on corruption charges.
