Project ENZA (a tourism NPO organisation) recently invited learners and educators through the Department of Education to their annual tourism information day, which highlighted the importance of our South African heritage and our tourism particularly those students taking courses that relate to Tourism and hospitality whilst still at school.
Over 100 high school students spent the day at Gateway Hotel learning more about the industry and were privileged to listen to industry leaders, that of Nelisa Mshengu and Blessing Magubane of Durban Tourism; Bonakele Gininda of TourVest, Maseru of Taste of Africa and Mam Mfusi of King Shaka. The students also got to experience a thorough hotel inspection as well as a luncheon.
