Hilton Arts Festival: It’s time for the 26th annual Hilton Arts Festival which kicks off on the 14th September at Hilton College. With 178 scheduled events including plays, comedy sessions, music concerts & reviews, tribute shows, arts-related lectures, movie screenings, artist & crafter demos and workshops, visitors are spoiled for choice this year. In addition to the festival, there’ll be craft stalls and artists selling their paintings, bronzes and ceramics, plus the chance to relax in the Corona Festival Marquee. Jackie Cameron is setting up a bistro and there’s an Extreme Events Gin Bar and a Food Village – yes seriously! And if that’s not enough, there are also several noteworthy exhibitions to visit. Don’t miss RMB’s ‘Think Bench”, a piece of modern installation art, the Everard Read Gallery’s ‘T.O.L.E.R.A.N.C.E.’, created by sculptor Guy Ferrer and Andrew Dunn’s loan to Hilton College of a set of 16 numbered prints of John Meyer’s ‘Mandela: A Life’s Journey’.
