Pine Walk Centre provides joy to local community school:

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world, according to respected statesman, Nelson Mandela. In the spirit of a man who took humanitarianism and transformation to a whole new level globally and in celebration of Mandela Day today (July 18th), Pine Walk Centre adopted the SOS Education Campaign – which stands for Support our Schools – in an attempt to help improve the quality of education in the country, with their main focus being specifically on their community. In doing so, they aim to provide hope to future generations.
Pine Walk Centre and its full staff complement implemented the SOS initiative by partnering with Vezamafa Primary School in KwaDabeka, where they refurbished one of the schools Grade 1 classrooms. The class which accommodates 33 students, saw a complete overhaul.
The Pine Walk team stripped the damaged ceiling and installed a brand new one featuring cavity bat insulation, new LED lights, varnished all the brick walls, painted and provided a fresh look chalkboard as well as repaired the door with locks and thus providing a safe learning environment for the Grade 1 students at Vezamafa Primary.

Pine Walk Centre is owned by SA Corporate Real Estate Limited, one of the oldest and most established companies within South Africa’s property sector. The company created the SOS Campaign – which stands for Support Our Schools – which is an attempt to help improve the quality of education in the country and provide hope to future generations.
It is also a tribute to the legacy left by Nelson Mandela who would have been 100 on July 18.
SA Corporate Real Estate Limited owns 21 shopping centres across the country. Each of these centres has identified and adopted a school within the community in which it is situated and will work with this school for the next three years.
