College Rovers go to the top of the log of the Optimum Premier Division league after the completion of their first round in style by beating Durban Collegians 39-12 at the home of Collegians last Saturday
Up 27-7 at the break Rovers went on to score six tries to two with Charles Mayeza crossing for three and Phiko Sabahle for two leading the charge. Sinovuyo Nyoko crossed for the sixth touchdown with Inny Radeba slotting three conversions and a penalty
Varsity College beat Richards Bay 73-3 with Michael Scheepers (3) and Mvelo Mlangane (2) leading the way to a convincing win
Westville Old Boys had a good away 47-18 win against UKZN Pietermaritzburg and Crusaders beat UKZN Durban 62-14
In the First Division Dynamo Sports Travel Hillcrest beat Jaguars 64-0 and South Coast Warriors beat Ballito Dolphins 37-0
With the Hollywoodbets July Handicap the center of the spotlight this Saturday club rugby will take a break before returning to Round Two on 9 July.
