OnSA Gives Everyone the Gift of ‘Paying it Forward’

OnSA Gives Everyone the Gift of ‘Paying it Forward’:

Fuelling innovation and revolutionising the way businesses are marketed and found online, On South Africa, or ’OnSA’, has launched a new aspect which will benefit fundraisers, organisations, charities and individuals. Companies signing up to promote their businesses on OnSA can ‘gift’ a portion of their initial payment to anyone they choose, with their selected charity also receiving an ongoing donation of R10 every month that the company is enlisted.

OnSA currently has 22 charities listed as beneficiaries, among them CHOC, Guide-Dogs Association of SA, Meals on Wheels, Hospice, Reach for a Dream, Hero777 and The Smile Foundation.

“The once-off gift can be given to anyone – a beloved granny, a friendly carguard, or even your child’s school,” Sarah Whitaker, the founder of OnSA explained. “The exciting part for me is the fundraising opportunity, as this opens doors for so many people and organisations. Anyone can encourage companies to sign up to feature on OnSA and ‘gift’ their cause. This is a way to collectively raise a substantial amount of money – this could be to help a family to pay for their medical bills, or to help a charity to reach a certain goal. Everyone has the power to ‘pay it forward’ and celebrate the hubsite’s ethos of supporting others.”

Prompted by the desire to see all South African companies, large and small, given an equal marketing platform that is usable and affordable, Sarah Whitaker launched OnSA in March, providing people with the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Drawing on her creative talents and self-taught knowledge of online graphics and web creation, Sarah has designed a truly eye-catching website and innovative business model.

The 12 interconnected hubsites, which are theme-based and sub-divided regionally, create a one-stop platform for easy user engagement, so whether it’s local suppliers for an event you’re planning or the nearest plumber you’re looking for, OnSA has it all. The unique business model of OnSA also means that users won’t be harassed by flashing advertisements and pop-ups, just relevant links to suppliers of local products and services throughout South Africa.

The reasonable monthly fee of R150 provides the company with ongoing marketing as well as the chance to support a local charity every month…and the added opportunity to gift anyone they choose.

For the 1-month option of R150, users can gift R50 once-off with a R10 monthly charitable donation. For the 3-month option of R450, the once-off gift is R150 with R30 donated to their charity; and, for the 12-month option of R1800, the once-off gift is R600 with a total of R120 being donated to their charity.

OnSA aims to empower and uplift South African businesses of all sizes, marketing them at an affordable rate, while supporting local charities and causes at the same time.

Ard Matthews and Vusi Mahlasela provide the music for OnSA’s video which can be viewed on YouTube, or for more information, check the ‘Pay it Forward’ tab at www.onsouthafrica.com.
