Loftus Trip – Featured Durban Blog

8 June 2016 by My Durban

Loftus Trip:

A strong Cell C Sharks XV team has been named to travel to Pretoria for their Currie Cup Qualifying match against the Blue Bulls at Loftus Versfeld on Friday afternoon at 17h00.

Although both teams have automatic qualification to the next round, there is much to play for in this match and players who require additional game time, ahead of the restart of the Vodacom Super Rugby competition, will have the opportunity to do so.

Coach, Michael Horak, has largely stuck with the team that were victorious against the EP Kings last Friday, with one change to the starting line-up, that sees Duncan Campbell take the flyhalf berth in place of Heimar Williams, who’s carrying a slight niggle.

Dave McDuling replaces Francois Kleinhans on the bench, this too necessitated by injury.  A late fitness call on Tristan Tedder will be made at training tomorrow and he has been bracketed on the bench alongside Kelvin Elder.

The side will again be captained by the hardworking Khaya Majola, who will no doubt lean on the leadership skills of other experienced leaders in Tera Mtembu and hooker Chilliboy Ralepelle.

The match will be televised on Supersport 1 at 17h00 on Friday.
