Local Durban singer-songwriter launches third gospel album:

CD Cover shot

Durban, South Africa – Amber Jane, Christian singer-songwriter from Hillcrest, South Africa has launched her third album, “Lamplight”.

Her two previous albums “All Glory to You” and “One Small Voice” (signed to Integrity Music in Asia) have received, and continue to receive, radio airplay in South Africa. Her latest album, “Lamplight” is a collection of 12 songs deeply rooted in scripture and jam-packed with biblical truth. From sharing the gospel and the hope of heaven to brotherly love and the importance of God’s word in our lives – you can expect all this and more on this exciting, new, Christian contemporary album.

Recording, mastering and mixing the album was well-known Sound Engineer Brent Quinton from renowned local recording studio, Hit Records. Brent also brought in Tree63’s, John Ellis to produce the album and play several instruments alongside guitarist, Alan Judd and pianist, Shermin Bhagalu.

The name “Lamplight” was born from the truth that God’s word is a guiding light in our lives. “In fact”, Amber explains, “Themes of light and darkness are so prominent throughout the bible – for example John 8:12, John 1:1-5, Psalm 119:105 and Matthew 5:16 – that “Lamplight” just seemed like the perfect title!”

With a deep interest in song writing, but no formal music training, it was only after Amber came face to face with death during an attempted hijacking (during which she sustained two gunshot wounds and later receiving Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour), that she discovered the sudden God-given ability to write biblically sound, truth-saturated songs.

Amber says she has consistently seen God’s sovereign, faithful hand patiently steering and equipping her step-by-step towards a ministry in song and is constantly amazed by His attention-to-detail hand in her life as He brings people and opportunities across her path, enabling her to bring the songs she writes to life. She credits God alone with her song-writing abilities and her desire is to write and sing for His glory alone, using her voice to point others to worship Him in spirit and truth.

“Lamplight” will be on sale from the 18 September 2017 from selected bookstores, www.truthinsong.org (the platform that Amber is using to launch her CD) and Itunes.

Price: R140 for the actual CD (excluding postage)

R79.99 on Itunes
