KZN’s Top Bridal Show Expands With An Authentic Beauty Experience

KZN’s Top Bridal Show Expands With An Authentic Beauty Experience:

In keeping with worldwide beauty trends, KZN’s largest annual wedding exhibition, formerly The NWJ Bridal and Events Show, is relaunching as The NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience bringing with it a fresh, new take on modern wedding trends and the introduction of an authentic interactive beauty experience.

Recognising the shift towards individual expression as the new definition of beauty, and the impact this has had on the beauty industry itself, is what gave rise to the inception of The NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience which takes place from 2 to 4 March 2018 at the Durban Exhibition Centre.

“The coming of age of the millennial generation has shifted traditional beauty norms from the pursuit of superficial perfectionism, of the much-revered super models of the 80’s and 90’s, to a more inclusive view of beauty; incorporating all shapes and sizes, religions, cultures and sexual orientations,” explains Creative Director, Yasmin Kathoria.

“We wanted to understand the emerging millennial market and their diverse interests. We sought to adapt our bridal event to appeal to this market for the benefit of consumers and exhibitors alike,” she explains.

The all-new NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience will showcase the latest bridal and beauty trends, while providing a platform for brands and beauty, hair and bridal influencers to challenge society’s definition of beauty and tap into this market by introducing innovative and creative themes, products and techniques.

“The millennial generation connects more with relatable social influencers than the actual brands themselves, which is why we reset our focus on creating the ultimate bridal and beauty experience, including live tutorials by local influencers and an all-inclusive experience never seen before in South Africa,” said Kathoria.

The NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience will showcase cutting-edge beauty trends with bridal masterclasses, hair and make-up tutorials, brow artistry, male-grooming trends, pioneering brand product sampling, live interviews with leading beauty brand ambassadors and make-over shows and competitions. The experience intends to be the ultimate cosmopolitan wedding experience providing the millennial bridal party with access to leading exhibitors in the bridal and beauty industry all under one roof.

The focus of the NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience will include the modern man and the boom of the male grooming industry; offering grooms, and any men interested in their own beauty, interactive demonstrations of the latest trends in beauty for men, paired with craft beer and gin experiences.

“KwaZulu-Natal is known for its diversity and unique sense of style; enabling us to test the popularity of a diverse beauty event concept that could have a profound effect on the future of the beauty industry in South Africa,” explains NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience Show Manager Justine Snyman.

Whether getting hitched or keeping up with the hottest beauty trends, be sure to make The NWJ Bridal & Beauty Experience, from Friday, 2 to Sunday, 4 March 2018, a priority on your calendar. Tickets are R85 and are available on www.nwjbridalandbeauty.co.za.
