9 October 2013 by Alan

In a bid to restore the City to its former glory, eThekwini Municipality will be conducting its cleanup and general maintenance of infrastructure on 10 and 11 October.

Areas to be targeted this week include; Soldiers Way, Victoria (Bertha Mkhize), Leopold (David Webster), Alice (Johannes Nkosi) Streets, Durban Station and Kolling Street and Greyville area. These areas are infested with many challenges such as dirt and dysfunctional infrastructure.

The City Manager, Sibusiso Sithole said the Clean My City task team has shifted focus to the CBD until February 2014. “This is to ensure that we root out all forms of dirt, dysfunctional infrastructure, non compliance to City’s bylaws, keeping the City clean, sustainable and well maintained,” said Sithole.

Meeting point is KwaMuhle Museum parking lot at 08:15.
