JAPANESE STINT FOR JOE PIETERSEN:

The Cell C Sharks confirm that Joe Pietersen, will join Kamaishi Seawaves, in Japan, at the conclusion of the 2016 Vodacom Super Rugby campaign.

Gary Gold, Director of Rugby, said: “Joe has enjoyed a successful career and is keen to experience the rugby culture in Japan, and therefore he has asked to be released for the Currie Cup campaign, to pursue this new opportunity.

“Discussions are currently underway regarding his possible return to the Cell C Sharks in 2017.”
