It’s time to head to Rocky Bay Resorts for KAP sani2C and more outdoor autumn adventures

21 March 2023 by My Durban

As the summer days fade and autumn approaches, most of the country starts preparing for much cooler weather that calls for the indoors. Not on the KZN South Coast! With the temperate coastal climate, autumn is considered one of the best seasons for outdoor adventure – and Rocky Bay Resorts is the ultimate seaside destination.

“One of the area’s best-kept secrets is that autumn, with its milder climate and clear, sunny days, is actually the best time of year to head to the KZN South Coast,” explained Annien Koulountis, Resorts Manager at Rocky Bay Resorts. “The diving off Aliwal Shoal is spectacular and the beach days are wonderful. The early mornings and late afternoons are also the ideal time to enjoy some birdwatching or go exploring the various hiking trails. With so many public holidays and our fantastic accommodation specials running at this time, it’s best to book early!”

Prime time booking at Rocky Bay Resorts

This time of year is renowned for its great holidays, with accommodation getting snapped up quickly. The upcoming long weekend, running from 17 to 21 March, is the perfect time to head to Rocky Bay Resorts, particularly as they’re running the epic End of Summer Promo Caravan Park from 15 February to 23 March where selected sites are available at 25% off!

Another prime holiday time is the Easter weekend from 7 to 10 April, and the great news is that Rocky Bay Resorts has an accommodation special to match as well! The End Summer Promo Lodge special is running from 15 February to 26 April where guests get 25% off selected A & B cabins. [Note none of these can be used in conjunction with any other Rocky Bay Resorts accommodation special. Ts & Cs apply].

Mountain bike enthusiasts will want to take advantage of the long weekend from 27 April to 1 May with the KAP sani2c running from 26 to 29 April – going right through Rocky Bay Resorts! This incredible three-day, 265-kilometre mountain bike stage race starts at Sani Pass in the southern Drakensberg and heads towards the coast with the bikers riding the Rocky Bay Resorts Trails before finishing in Scottburgh.

Why choose Rocky Bay Resorts?

There is just so much to see and do at this unique coastal destination, with a camping site right on the beach and cabins just 150 metres from the beach, 24-hour security, access-controlled gates, and secure parking.
