Introducing new PR Intern Londeka Ngcongo

19 October 2023 by My Durban

Introducing a new PR intern that is ready to embark on an exciting milestone of growth and success in the industry of Public Relation. Prepare to be mind blown by my creativity and unwavering commitment to success. I will be bringing a fresh start that is sure to capture your attention for the longest ride. “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.’’

My name is Londeka Ngcongo. I was born and raised in a small township called Clermont in KZN. I am a second-year student in Public Relations Management at Nelson Mandela University. From a younger age, my parents instilled the values of working hard, dreaming big, and that everything was possible. My ambition to thrive for more knowledge and growth in life has been fueled by the support I get from my family and my determination to be successful.

I have always been reserved in trying out new experiences but in my first year of university, I challenged myself to come out of my shell and got involved in extra-mural activities that enhanced my life and social skills. I took short courses to help me advance my knowledge.

Those were the best decisions I have ever made for myself because it boosted my self?esteem and even sparked my thirst for wanting to learn more. I understand that life is a learning curve, which is why I have always been determined and enthusiastic to put myself in the spotlight.

I am proud to say that I still carry my eagerness in my second year of study. I have grasped the opportunity of becoming an executive member for the Student Alumni Society. I will be taking on the Treasurer position as a volunteer. I have to be honest and say I am a little nervous but with the confidence I have gathered, I know I will prosper. I am looking forward to start, this will play a vital part in shaping my personal and professional goals.

I plan to uphold the belief that recognize and accept challenges as an opportunity for growth. I aim to take on the responsibility of guiding young people towards achieving their goals and reaching for their own definition of success. I believe in giving back to the community, whether through volunteering or contributing towards something that will uplift the standard of my community. Throughout my experience I have learnt that success is not always immediate, it is like climbing a ladder. I conclude that patience is essential in overcoming obstacles and reaching goals.

My experiences and accomplishments have influenced my perception on life, and they will continue to serve as a guide for me in the future. The lesson I have learnt along the way will contribute to that too. It will prepare me to navigate challenges with resilience and determination. ‘’Decisions define destiny. One big step is the start of something.
