Introducing Mum Modern Kitchens

12 May 2020 by My Durban

Introducing Mum Modern Kitchens:

Johannesburg, May, 11 2020: We all know that the kitchen is the heart of the home and one of the most trafficked rooms in any home. It hasn’t always been this way. In the past kitchens were used strictly for the preparation of food by staff or a singular person. Traditional kitchen design reflects this.

In today’s modern world the focus around kitchens has shifted significantly and the popularity of a modern kitchen now comes down to its functionality, customization, technology, efficiency and resale value.

2020 is the year of the ‘living kitchen’ where function, technology and aesthetics combine to make our day-to-day lives a little bit easier and unify the rest of the home.

Mum  Kitchens has a stellar reputation as a trusted and reliable designer and installer of modern kitchens for more than 18 years. We deliver high standard work and friendly, reliable, punctual and trustworthy service as standard every time.

At Mum Kitchens we offer our clients the very best advice based on their individual needs and lifestyle. Whether you want to renovate the whole kitchen, or simply give a old tired cupboard a fresh, modern look, we are here for you.

Effective, modern-looking kitchens combines many elements – the layout, worktops, appliances, cabinets, tiling, taps and many more.

There are so many questions when it comes to kitchen design and finish and here at Mum Kitchen we know so much about the latest trends because we set them.

Not only are our designers at the forefront of modern kitchen design, they are also familiar with all the latest smart appliances and the best kitchen materials to achieve the perfect combination suitable to your lifestyle and home. We can suggest elements that you may not have thought about or are aware of together with the essential practical components that make up a beautiful designer kitchen.

Our services in Johannesburg also extend to modern ceilings and bulkhead designs, bathroom renovation & custom-made built in cupboards

Have you tried: Visiting Port Elizabeth?

Quick Durban KwaZulu-Natal Fact: In June 2007 the KZN parliament passed the Prevention of Slums Bill in the Provincial Parliament. The Bill compels landowners to evict shackdwellers, on the threat of arrest and criminalises resistance to evictions. The provincial Department of Housing, that brought the Bill to the Provincial Parliament, has repeatedly stated that ‘the slums will be cleared by 2010 in KwaZulu-Natal’. The Bill has been heavily criticised by academics, human rights organisations and civil society. The shack dwellers’ movement Abahlali baseMjondolo is planning mass mobilising against the Bill and is also taking the matter to the Constitutional Court with support from a pro bono legal centre.
