Durban, 4 July 2016: With two pool fixtures remaining ahead of the qualifying rounds of the 2016 Super Rugby tournament, Dr Alan Kourie, The Sharks team doctor, has issued the following injury update.

| Cobus Reinach | – ACL injury (right knee); – Recovery on track; – Expected return is January 2017. |
| Daniel du Preez | – Groin tear; – Recovery on track; – Will not be available for selection this week. |
| Francois Kleinhans | – Shoulder injury; – Recovery on track; – Expected return 2/3 weeks. |
| Inny-Christian Radebe | – Fully fit. |
| Patrick Lambie | – Concussion; – To be reassessed today. |
| Paul Jordaan | – Knee injury; – Will be scanned today to determine extent of injury. |
| Willie le Roux | – AC Joint injury (shoulder); – Will not be available for selection this week. |
Despite the injury setbacks, we are still in the hunt to make the qualifiers, and there is still a lot to play for. The Cell C Sharks know that we have fate in our hands and will want to make amends this Saturday, 9th July, when we play the Cheetahs at Growthpoint KINGS PARK, at 19h15.
Our team to play the Cheetahs will be announced at 10h30 this Thursday.
