Pat Lambie Fit
Cell C Sharks flyhalf Pat Lambie has completed his rehabilitation and is available to play when his team host the Hurricanes in their Vodacom Super Rugby clash at Growthpoint KINGS PARK this Saturday.
The Cell C Sharks have returned from their three match tour of New Zealand and aside from Cobus Reinach and Philip van der Walt, who left the tour early, had no further injuries from the tour party to report.
There is a long term injury list of players who, during the course of the season, have been in treatment ahead of their collective returns to action. Cell C Sharks Doctor Alan Kourie has issued his injury report which presents the good news that Patrick Lambie is fully fit and available for selection.
His scrumhalf partner Cobus Reinach will, unfortunately not be joining him on the playing field for some time. He has an ACL (knee ligament) injury and following surgery, will be out of action for nine months.
Philip van der Walt’s neck injury is not as severe and his approximate return is listed as two to three weeks.
Tera Mtembu and Francois Kleinhans are also both now fully fit and available for selection.
Of the remainder, Jacques Potgieter is presently rehabbing his ankle and should return in five weeks while flyhalf Inny-Christian Radebe’s meniscus tear (right knee) should be healed in the next four weeks.
Both Ruan Botha (ankle) and Wandile Mjekevu (bone bruising of the knee) are expected to return in two (or three for the latter) weeks.
