Injury Update:

Durban, 15 March 2016:  Dr Alan Kourie, Team Doctor, has issued the following injury update relating to the Cell C Sharks squad.

Name of Player Injury
Francois Kleinhans – Bicep tendon repair;
– Recovery on track;
– Expected to return mid-May.
Jacques Potgieter – Operation was successful;
– Currently in rehab and recovery is on track.
– Expected return in six weeks.
Jean-Luc du Preez – Foot injury;
– Expected to be available for selection next week.
Patrick Lambie – Recovery on track;
– Expected to return mid-May.
Ruan Botha – Operation was successful;
– Recovery on track;
– Expected to return beginning of May.
Tera Mtembu – Scan shows bone bruising in his left knee;
– Uncertain lay-off period. His return will be guided by his clinical response to rehab.

After a fantastic win against the Stormers last Saturday, in which our new generation team showed great character and spirit, the Cell C Sharks are hard at work in preparation for their match against the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus Versfeld this Friday, 18th March at 19h00.

The Cell C Sharks team to travel to Pretoria, will be announced at 10h00 tomorrow.
