It’s all systems go for Imbizo to be addressed by His Majesty the King
The preparations for an Imbizo to be addressed by the His Majesty King Zwelithini kaBhekuZulu, today, Monday 20 April 2015, are proceeding smoothly. This was confirmed by the cooperative governance and traditional affairs department charged by Premier Senzo Mchunu with working with the Royal Household to coordinate logistics for the Imbizo.
A total of 10 000 people including Amakhosi, Izinduna and Amabutho (regiments) are expected to descend to Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban for the King’s Imbizo.
Initially the Imbizo was scheduled to be hosted at Curries Fountain stadium but has since been moved to Moses Mabhida to accommodate a possible influx from the 10 000 anticipated crowd.
