HOLLYWOODBETS SHARKS PLAYERS GOING INTERNATIONAL:
The Springbok squad for the Castle Lager Rugby Championship in November has officially been announced, and we’ve got quite a few familiar faces in the lineup.
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus announced the 34-man squad for the upcoming UK tour on Tuesday. No surprise here that twelve of the 34-man squad is made up of Hollywoodbets Sharks players.
The lineup includes:

- Ox Nche
- Bongi Mbonambi
- Vincent Koch
- Eben Etzebeth
- Siya Kolisi
- Jaden Hendrikse
- Jordan Hendrikse
- Grant Williams
- Lukhanyo Am
- Andre Esterhuizen
- Makazole Mapimpi
- Aphelele Fassi
The squad will be led by Siya Kolisi, who led the Boks to victory in the 2023 Castle Lager Rugby Championship – their first win in the Championship since 2019.
The team has already departed for a training camp in Jersey, the largest of the Channel islands between England and France. Their first match kicks off on 10 November against Scotland in Edinburgh. They’ll also play against England in London on 16 November, and Wales in Cardiff on 23 November.

When it comes to interprovincial rivalries, few compete with the epic clash of the Hollywoodbets Sharks and the DHL Stormers. This rivalry will be revived on the grounds of Hollywoodbets Kings Park on 30 November, as the two teams go head to head yet again in round 7 of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.

This rivalry goes back to the old days of Super Rugby, and embodies South African rugby’s tradition of passionate coastal derbies. Known for their close and intense encounters, these two teams bring a fierce competitive edge to each game. And as a result, every time they go up against each other, their matches draw high fan engagement and media attention for the intense competition and unpredictable outcomes.
The last time these teams faced each other was in February this year when the DHL Stormers narrowly beat the home team 25-21. As you can expect, the Hollywoodbets Sharks will bring even more energy on 30 November to make sure this doesn’t happen this time around.
And if this intense rivalry wasn’t enough of a reason to make sure you see this game live, the matchday experience at Hollywoodbets Kings Park will close the deal.
This year, we’ve taken the matchday experience at Hollywoodbets Kings Park to new heights. Fans can expect exciting features like a new ‘Big Screen’, fireworks, incredible live performances, and so much more.
To keep the vibe going all day long, we’ll have DJs spinning some tunes at our DJ Stage. We’ll also be hosting pre- and post-match performances, featuring popular South African artists.
For those who want even more of a vibe, we have the epic Party Stand. For just R100 a ticket, you get a beer and a boerie roll, and an epic jol. Note – this area is not available for fans under the age of 18.
We’ve also invested quite a bit in improving the fan experience. We’ve enhanced security, built new and better restrooms, and we’re introducing a Steward Program. We’ve hand selected loyal fans who know the stadium like the back of their hand to assist us with helping fans find their correct seats. If you need any help on game day, just look for one of our friendly stewards or staff carrying a ‘How Can I Help You?” lollipop sign.
