High Action at Opening Day Of Sea Harvest SA Junior Championships

Lower Point, JBay – There was action aplenty on the opening day of the Sea Harvest SA Junior Championships at Lower Point in JBay today. Despite the onshore conditions and small swell, the contestants were competing hard, all in a quest for their respective District Team points and individual title runs.

The Sea Harvest SA Junior Champs is one of the most popular surfing events on the South African surfing calendar and garners much attention from media and competitors alike.

Dillon Hendricks from Nelson Mandela Bay Surfriders was one of the standouts of the morning on opening day, performing high risk moves on the contestable waves of Lower Point in his opening heat for the big scores.

There are eight South African titles and the Freedom Cup at stake in the tournament, and contestants are determined to achieve the big results.
