On 18 November 2016 Port Elizabeth based Claire received the following news; “Claire, it IS shocking, but we got it early. It is Cancer of the Cervix”

The rest of the phone call was white noise to Claire as her world imploded in upon her.

The diagnosis was Stage 1a Squamous cell carcinoma – 1a is when the Cancer can only be seen under a microscope, is no more than 3 millimetres deep and 7 millimetres wide

The journey to this shocking news was studded with signposts:

A major drop in energy levels, excessive exhaustion, a right upper thigh with strange tingling sensations, a radical sharp pain in the left pelvic area, dull and drab hair, unquenchable night thirsts, big cravings for chocolate, spotting between periods that were radically heavy and painfull, brittle nails, poor skin condition and feet that were dry, worn and in bad condition.

Eventually Claire realised that she needed to listen to her body and take action.

Claire describes her decision to not go for traditional medical treatment saying; “A friend of mine had sent me a link for a documentary years ago called “Dying to have known” by Steve Kroschel about investigating the legitimacy of a holistic cancer treatment called Gerson Therapy. I watched the documentary again and then downloaded the book The Gerson Therapy. As I was only in the early stages of Cancer and on a very tight budget, I had to adapt the treatment to suit my lifestyle and pocket. I was so scared and questioned if I was making the right decision? ”

The way to beat your opponent is simple – understand the biology of Cancer, how it is “born”, what makes it thrive, what fuels it and why and then take action.

Knowing your opponent is one thing, taking the decision to go against the advice of the medical fraternity, parents and loved ones in order to cure yourself of this dread diseases takes guts and commitment to stay the course.

In her blog – Round Pink Donut – Claire details her journey and offers to guide anyone in a similar position.

After changing her lifestyle Claire was given the all clear in January 2017.

It has now been 3 Years since first diagnosed and over 2 Years since being given the all clear by the medical fraternity and Claire remains on the path that helped her heal her cancer naturally.

Read about Claire’s journey, the round pink donut and what she did to heal her cancer naturally on her blog – Round Pink Donut.
