The IFP in KwaZulu Natal wishes the class of 2013 matriculants the best for their exams and a peaceful and successful examination period.
IFP Shadow MEC for Education, Mr Mntomuhle Khawula, MPL, said “All our learners have worked hard in the past ten months and this is the time for them to reap the benefits of their hard work. It’s also not solely about the past ten months, but also about the hard work of the past nine years and ten months of school life.”
The IFP has always maintained that education is the key to success and the liberation of our people from ignorance, poverty and disease. Even during the days of the struggle, the IFPYB motto was “Education for Liberation.”
Khawula continued, “South Africa today needs young people who are highly skilled so that they can be able to appropriately take the country forward as the capable leaders of tomorrow. The time is now for them to prepare for their future. We are also crossing our fingers that the sudden change of political heads in the department at MEC level will not have a negative devastating effect to the progress of our learners.”
The IFP also wishes to express gratitude to all the educators who have also worked hard to prepare the learners for exams, and the parents for their guidance. The IFP hopes that with these exams, KwaZulu Natal education will be able to go back to our glory days under the IFP, when the province had a good pass percentage in matric.
