WHAT A #PROUDLYLOCAL TALENTED BUNCH: Siyabonga Xaba, Kagiso Ndlovu and Lindeni Joyce Cele

Christmas is just around the corner and you know what that means! Buying presents for other people can be really hard at times. Trying to find something they’d like within your budget these days can be a nightmare. Surely Christmas shopping in this day and age would be easier? The Pavilion Social Gallery has just made that much easier and can be found upstairs on the rooftop at the Pavilion Shopping Centre!

This initiative proudly partnered with the regional office of the Department of Arts & Culture and the Notha Empowerment Youth Program, a local NPO organisation based in Chesterville, provides a platform in growing and supporting local fashion, clothing, home décor and food entrepreneurs all under one opportune and safe location.

By supporting a small business, you’re also supporting your local community. Spending your hard earned money there helps to stimulate the local economy and keep their little business booming and get to find wonderfully unique locally made gifts for your friends and family!

There is something at the social gallery for just about anyone. Meet some of the talented artists below:

Siyabonga Xaba designs under the label XArt03. His work which includes that of portrait t-shirts, custom clothing, paintings and design are certainly unique in intention. His passion is designing his own clothing and adding elements of art. He can be described as earthy, introverted, spiritual, a deep thinker and has always been drawn to artistic expression. His inspiration is drawn from the beach and believes in his heart that reality is wrong and dreams are for real, follow your dreams to unlock the doors to the real reality. https://www.facebook.com/XArt03

Kagiso Ndlovu is behind the @saint_kagisow shoe and clothing label. Self-taught, he designs on both ladies and men’s sneakers as well as clothing. His inspiration is drawn by music and bringing vision to the world in the form of art. He is a passionate artist and focuses on continuously learning different skills and is looking to collaborate with established retail outlets and brand names. https://www.facebook.com/kagiso.killo.ndlovu.1293

Described as ambitious, approachable, active, creative as well as being a good listener is Lindeni Joyce Cele who designs plus size dresses under the label of Sammy-Q and would love to own a chain of big boutiques featuring clothing and designer fabrics. Creating her brand is to date Lindeni’s biggest achievement and sees showcasing her creations at the Social Gallery as an opportunity in not only to learn more about marketing her business but being up close and personal with her customers. https://www.facebook.com/Sammy-Q-101400362134367
