Me?a polyana is a former village annexed as a hamlet to Dobâr?in village in 1986. Most of the houses in the former village look like this one – stairs from large stones and a form of an angle. Most houses in the villages in this part of Ponor mountain look very similar to this one.
The former village is located more than 1000 meters above sea level, on the steep left slope of the Sirištna river valley. It was never electrified. The closest store is 8 kilometers away; the nearest inhabited house is located 4,5 km. away. From early spring to late autumn a handful of people still continue to live here. Me?a polyana was first mentioned in a document from 1447.
