FLYING HIGH WITH JORDAN HENDRIKSE – Featured Durban Blog

9 November 2024 by My Durban

FLYING HIGH WITH JORDAN HENDRIKSE:

Jordan Hendrikse’s meteoric rise in South African rugby has captivated fans, with the young flyhalf already making a significant impact for the Hollywoodbets Sharks in 2024. We’re spotlighting this impressive player’s biggest and brightest moments with the Warrior Nation.

Hendrikse first showcased his talent in the Carling Currie Cup, debuting for the Sharks in a thrilling encounter against the Griffons. His involvement in multiple tries during the match highlighted his playmaking ability, setting the tone for what would become a standout season.

However, it was in the final of the Carling Currie Cup that Hendrikse truly stamped his mark. In a nerve-wracking finish against the Fidelity ADT Lions, he kicked a last-gasp 59-metre penalty to secure a 16-14 victory for the Hollywoodbets Sharks XV.

Hendrikse has continued to build on this early success, featuring in all five matches of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship so far this year. His performances in the competition have further solidified his reputation as a promising flyhalf.

He’s also recently been called up to replace the injured Frans Malherbe in the Springbok Squad for the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour. We can’t wait to see what this promising player does next, but we know he’ll continue to take the Hollywoodbets Sharks to new heights.
